Laxmipur Jubo Dal leader found shot dead
A union-level leader of Jubo Dal, the youth wing of opposition BNP, was found shot dead this morning in Laxmipur Sadar upazila.
The deceased Md Moin Uddin Chowdhury Bablu, 27, resident of the Bhangakha union of the upazila, was the assistant organising secretary of the party’s Bhangakha union unit, our Laxmipur correspondent reports quoting Rezaul Karim Liton, president of Laxmipur district Jubo Dal unit.
The bullet wounded body was discovered by locals on the bank of a pond at Neyamatpur Dolakandi of the upazila.
On information local police recovered the body around 9:00am and sent it to Laxmipur Sadar Hospital morgue, Iqbal Hossain Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Laxmipur Sadar Police Station said adding that they could not ascertain the motive of the murder yet.
The police are investigating the incident for more information and actions will be taken accordingly, he said.
Alauddin, brother of Bablu, told our correspondent that the body bore seven marks of bullets in his body.
