BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia held a meeting with the top leaders of 19-party alliance today.
The meeting was held at Khaleda’s Gulshan office, staff of BNP chairperson’s media wing told The Daily Star.
Apart from protesting the recent killings, abductions and forced disappearance, the meeting also discussed the country’s latest political situation including recent remark against Ziaur Rahman made by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
On June 2, Hasina said, "Killer Mostaque murdered Bangabandhu and after Bangabandhu's assassination, he made Ziaur Rahman the army chief and that means Ziaur Rahman was linked to the conspiracy of the Bangabandhu killing".
Hasina further said Ziaur Rahman was relieved due to his death. "If he were still alive, he would have been implicated in the murder case."
