Earlier in the programme, Nurul Huda presented a paper describing the techniques he followed to accomplish the task.
First, he ordered other judges of Mymensingh to prepare lists of cases filed till 2010 in three phases.
Once the lists were prepared accordingly, the cases were put under two categories -- criminal and civil.
Then, he held meetings with lawyers dealing with the cases and sought their cooperation for the cases' disposal. He also took steps to ensure that court notices were served without any delay.
The techniques were very innovative and proved helpful in easing the excessive pressure of cases in Mymensingh courts, said Kabir Uddin Bhuiyan, president of Mymensingh Bar Association.
