IPL auction tomorrow
The player auction of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2014 will be held tomorrow (Wednesday) in Bengaluru of India.
The auction will begin around 9:30 am and it will continue to Thursday if needed.
Shakib Al Hasan has been attracted a base price of one crore rupees for the IPL player auction. Shakib, who played for the Kolkata Knight Riders in the past two editions of the IPL, attracted the highest base price among seven Bangladeshi players.
Among the others, Tamim Iqbal attracted a base price of 50 lakh rupees while Shohag Gazi, Anamul Haque, Nasir Hossain, Rubel Hossain and Mahmudullah Riyad have been set a base price of 30 lakh rupees each.
A total of 232 international capped players from ten countries have been included in the auction register.
The auction will be conducted by Richard Madley, a professional auctioneer from England who has conducted each of the previous IPL player auctions.
The auction will be telecast live on the SONY SIX HD and SONY SIX channels.
Twenty four players have been retained, including fourteen Indian players (of which three are uncapped) and ten overseas players:
