Investigators find evidence against Kishoreganj Razakar
Investigators today said they have found evidence of six wartime offences against fugitive war crimes suspect Syed Mohammad Hassan.
The offences include killing of 24 people, kidnapping of 12 persons and torching and looting of 125 houses in Tarail upazila of Kishoreganj.
Investigators Abdul Hannan Khan and Sanaul Huq told this to reporters during a briefing at the agency’s Dhanmondi office in the capital today.
Hasan was the alleged commander of Tarail Razakar Bahini in Kishoreganj in 1971.
The investigation agency of International Crimes Tribunal has prepared a 219-page probe report after taking statements of 39 witnesses, the investigators said.
The report is likely to be submitted to the prosecution anytime today, they said.
Beginning on June 7 last year, the agency has completed the investigation June 19.
On April 3, the International Crimes Tribunal-1 ordered the arrest of Hasan, but he is not detained yet.
