Haider acting chief prosecutor of ICT

Prosecutor Syed Haider Ali will discharge the duty as the chief prosecutor of International Criminals Tribunal in absence of Ghulam Arieff Tipoo, a law ministry gazette notification issued this afternoon states.

According to the notification signed by Mohammad Shahin Uddin, senior deputy secretary of the ministry, the government granted a one-month leave to chief prosecutor Tipoo from April 13.

Earlier, Tipoo had sought the leave for going to Singapore on treatment purpose.
