Mahi in Joint Venture Cinema
Bangladeshi film star Mahiya Mahi has worked on the first joint venture film between Bangladesh and Kolkata. The movie is called Romeo and Juliet and she starred alongside Kolkata actor Ankur. Mahi's last film “Onek Shadher Moyna”, where she played Moyna, has turned out to be a big hit. This film has helped the actress reach great new heights. Last year also saw the release of Mahi's latest Bangladeshi projects “Desha: The Leader”.
Eventful 2014: ANANTA JALIL
Last year was a very fruitful year for Superstar Ananta Jalil. He is now CIP (Commercially Important Person) five years running. That is impressive enough but he has also been given the job of hosting a new program for Desh TV called “Face to Face'. And finally, to cap off the New Year, he has now become a father to his first child, Ariva Ibne Jolil.
LEADING LADIES Reunite after 10 years
Moushumi, once the leading lady of Bangladeshi Cinema, has starred alongside Kolkata actress Rituparna Sengupta in the new movie “Ek Cup Chaa”. This marks the first time these two once leading ladies of their respective cinema industries have acted together in 10 years. As if being a talented actress wasn't enough, Moushumi has also tried her luck at directing the film “Shunno Ridoy” as well as acting in it.

Ferdous is turning out to be a very multitalented person indeed. We all know him as an actor, but with the release of “Ek Cup Chaa” he has debuted as a producer as well. If that wasn't enough, he has also tried his hands at commentating a football match while on a

Justin Bieber just lost 3.5 million Instagram followers
The "Baby" crooner lost a whopping 3.5 million followers after Instagram purged all the spam and deadweight from its site this week. Fake accounts comprised nearly 15% of Bieber's Instagram following. Instagram went after spam in a major way this week, deleting millions of fake accounts in what has become dubbed the "Instagram Rapture." It turns out that the celebrities on the Internet are not as famous as we thought. Some of the biggest names in show business shed the largest numbers of fake followers on Instagram, with the Bieb leading the way, according to data compiled by Zach Allia, a software developer. Instagram itself was the biggest loser, shedding more than 18.8 million followers, or nearly 30% of its total, in the culling. The social media site, owned by Facebook (FB, Tech30), announced last week that it has 300 million users -- not including all the spam it eliminated.
I was cranky when I stopped exercising for 'Cake' Aniston
Actress Jennifer Aniston has revealed that she became quite grumpy when she stopped exercising in order to get into character for Golden Globe-nominated film 'Cake'. "It's interesting when you stop exercising. It really was interesting how my serotonin levels went down. My stamina was shot. I was cranky. I was irritable," Aniston, 45, said. "I'm usually really not any of those things. I found myself short. I was hungry like crazy," she added. As previously reported, the former 'Friends' star often went without makeup and stopped working out for two months to play Claire Simmons, a woman who suffers chronic pain after a car accident, said Us magazine. But for Aniston, not looking like her red carpet self wasn't the downfall of not hitting the gym. "You realise exercise is just so important to our soul. Not just being able to fit into skinny jeans, to your state of mind, your soul, all of that. "I surrendered into it. I actually didn't fight it. I didn't think oh this is horrible. It was such a part of what I enjoyed about mining this character."
Never said no to working with Kareena: Shahid Kapoor
Actor Shahid Kapoor, who once dated actress Kareena Kapoor, has said that he has never refused to work with the latter and that he is not sure about her joining the cast of "Udta Punjab". Rumours are abuzz that Shahid and Kareena have been signed for "Udta Punjab" to be helmed by director Abhishek Chaubey. On being asked about pairing with Kareena, Shahid said: "I have never said no (to working with Kareena Kapoor)..." "In 'Udta Punjab', I am there and that's all I know. Rest the film's producer and director will reveal when the time will come," he added. Shahid and Kareena, who dated for more than four years, broke up in 2007. Together, they worked in films like "Fida", "36 China Town", "Milenge Milenge" and "Chup Chup Ke", among others. Post break-up, their last movie together was Imtiaz Ali's "Jab We Met", which was a runaway success. Currently, Shahid is shooting for Vikas Bahl's "Shaandaar".

Bollywood's 'Munni'--Malaika Arora Khan is back with a new song.
The model-turned-actress has now donned a new avatar- Ragini in 'Dolly Ki Doli'. Titled as 'Fashion Khatam Mujpe', the song shows Malaika dancing in her signature style, exhibiting the much-needed oomph on screen. Her presence will certainly be a bonus for this Sonam Kapoor starrer, which has been produced by Malaika's husband Arbaaz Khan. Arbaaz took to micro-blogging site Twitter and shared the link of the peppy item number. 'Dolly Ki Doli' is scheduled to hit the screens on January 23, 2015. Aamir Khan's PK crosses Rs 100 crore in four days
Rajkumar Hirani's directorial 'PK' has minted more than Rs.100 crore in four days in India and the “overwhelming” response has moved the movie's actress Anushka Sharma. Anushka tweeted Monday evening: “I am literally in tears reading the overwhelming love & response you guys have shown for PK & us. Thank you from the bottom of my heart”. The Vidhu Vinod Chopra production released Friday and became a topic of discussion on social networking sites. It also stars Aamir Khan, Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjay Dutt.
‘Game of Thrones' star Pedro Pascal in 'Great Wall'
Actor Pedro Pascal, who played Prince Oberyn Martell on 'Game of Thrones', is in talks to join Matt Damon starrer 'The Great Wall'. The historical project will be directed by famed Chinese director Zhang Yimou, reported theWrap. The film, set in China, will mark Yimou's English-language debut. The story revolves around an elite force making a last stand for humanity on the world's most iconic structure. Damon remains in negotiations to star in the Great Wall movie, which is expected to be the largest film ever shot entirely in China. Production is set to begin in the early next year for a late 2016 release. Pascal's stars have risen since his breakout performance in the hit fantasy drama. He'll next play Pontius Pilate in 'Ben-Hur' besides horror-comedy 'Bloodsucking Bastards'.
ALIA BHATT PREFERS 'UDTA PUNJAB' OVER 'ROCK ON 2'?
The talented daughter of ace filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt—Alia, is certainly a focused actress. The generation next star, who has just wrapped-up Vikas Bahl's 'Shaandaar' opposite Shahid Kapoor, is now all geared up to start shoot for her next. The latest buzz right now is that Alia chose Abhishek Chaubey's 'Udta Punjab' over Farhan Akhtar's 'Rock On 2'. According to a leading daily, rumours are rife that the 21-year-old chirpy actress chose the former one as 'Rock One 2' had an ensemble cast, which meant that she would have a lesser important role to play in it. However, the actress has so far featured in lead roles. Nonetheless, no official statement has been made either by the makers or by the actress as yet. 'Udta Punjab' reportedly stars Kareena Kapoor Khan as well, besides Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt.
