Gold seized again at Ctg airport
Customs officials recovered six gold bars weighing around 700 grams from two passengers at Shah Amanat International Airport in Chittagong this morning.
The officials seized the gold bars from the passengers of an Air Arabia flight -- Rahimuddin and Nurul Haque – around 9:00am, reports our correspondent quoting Parvez Al Zaman, assistant commissioner of Airport Customs.
The custom officials searched the duo after they got off from the flight that came from Sharjah and found the gold bars worth Tk 30 lac, he added.
The recovery follows Thursday night’s gold haul, when 420 bars weighing around 49 kilograms were found abandoned under seats of a Fly Dubai aircraft.
