Fire at Savar New Market doused
A fire that broke out at Savar New Market, on the outskirts of the capital, was doused after two hours this morning.
No casualty was reported from the incident, reports our Savar correspondent quoting Fire Service and Civil Defence officials there.
Originating from a shoe warehouse on the first floor of the four-storey building around 9:30am, the fire soon engulfed the northern part of the structure.
On information, three fire-fighting units rushed to the spot and doused the blaze around 11:40am.
The fire was originated from a short circuit of the building, said our correspondent quoting from fire services official.
