Finally Apple brings iPhone 6, 6+ and ‘Apple Watch’
If you've been around the internet or at least been keeping track of on goings for the past week then you probably know about Apple's announcement of two new iPhones and a smartwatch. The iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ are brothers, their noticeable difference being in their screen sizes which are 4.7'' and 5.5'' respectively. Coming with the new A8 and M8 processors and Retina HD Displays with impressive resolutions, the new iPhones will surely open up possibilities for great apps with stunning visuals not to mention a faster and smoother experience with iOS 8. Design-wise we've got thinner bodies, curved edges and changes in button allocations. The iSight camera at the back now features True Tone flash, Autofocus with Focus Pixels and Optical Image Stabilization (iPhone 6+ only)along with other significant technical upgrades that truly make photos better than ever-that's a down-to-earth statement. Another thing that we've been expecting and Apple delivered is NFC capabilities, which can now be used for connecting to the “Apple Watch”. Yes, it's called the Apple Watch, not the iWatch. Speculations and rumors have been going on for almost two years and it seems as if it was worth the wait. It's a bit bulky but other than that, everything is stunningly beautiful and as always, targeted towards making the user experience perfect. In the pursuit of making a futuristic device, other smartwatches have lacked the elegance a watch needs. But Apple made sure that fashion is not compromised because of functionality. You can choose the right one for yourself from the three models that come in a number of colors with all sort of straps. That being said, let's move down to what it can do. The usual stuff which includes answering you mails, messages and calls are a given, you can also use miniature versions of social networking services like Facebook and Twitter, store photos and music, see all your notifications and get real-time directions. The last feature seemed very useful. Think about it, you entered your desired location on your Apple Watch and started walking, as soon as you need to take a turn, it vibrates in a certain pattern to let you know whether it's a left or a right. That, for me, is an amazing use of a smartwatch. It also features a crown which can be rotated smoothly to scroll and zoom and to return to home screen. Next, come the sensors which work alongside your health conscious mindset (that is, if you have one). At the end of the day you'll know exactly how many steps you walked, how many stairs you've climbed and even how many times you stood up. If you've met the daily standard or your personal goal, the Apple Watch won't fail to let you know. As for Siri, of course it's there, awesome as always, just on your wrist now.
The last announcement at the Keynote was Apple Pay- a contactless NFC based secure payment method that makes daily transactions easier and more reliable than ever. Your credit-card info will be stored on your iTunes account and will remain confidential (not even disclosed to Apple) and whenever you're paying, just hold your iPhone or Apple Watch near to the receiver and press pay, exactly two seconds later, you're done. “That's it. It's that easy”.Yes I agree security is definitely a concern here buy hey- one iCloud photo leak doesn't change the world or prove anything. iOS was and will be the most secured mobile OS out there. The release dates are- 17th September for iOS 8, 19th September for iPhone 6 and iPhone 6+ and early 2015 for the Apple Watch which will also be compatible with older versions of the iPhone.
