A training programme on filmmaking, titled “Stop Not Film Banao” was recently launched, targeting cultural and film clubs of various universities of Bangladesh, sponsored by “Stop Not”, the popular snack brand from the house of Perfetti van Melle.
The main objective of the workshop is to develop young talents in the filmmaking industry through mentoring and knowledge-sharing by industry experts. The programme opened with a special two-day workshop on July 4-5, participated by more than 60 students from 12 leading public and private universities of Dhaka, says a press release.
Renowned producers and filmmakers gave an overview of the world of cinematography and briefed participants on various aspects of how films are produced and developed. The entire programme, spanning several weeks, will culminate in the university teams participating in a contest to develop individual TV commercial films for “Stop Not”. All the films will then be published in digital media and selected film(s) will ultimately be telecasted on electronic media. Participants will be awarded with certificates after completion of the project.
