Sabi to debut opposite Ferdous
Shaila Sabi, the girl from Tangail, took part in a talent hunt to display her dancing skills, but what she found here was much bigger. Film star Ferdous, a judge of the competition she was a part of, “Channel i Shera Nachiye”, was so impressed by her performance and expressions that he offered her a role in a film.
Sabi, who had done some acting on stage in her hometown and Rajshahi till then, embraced the opportunity with open arms, and now is set to debut on-screen against one of the leading men in Dhallywood. The Ferdous-Sabi starrer “Priya Tumi Shukhi Hou”, directed by Gitali Hasan and produced by Impress Telefilm, is set for release in Eid-Ul Azha, and will also feature film veterans Suchorita and Sohel Rana. The film is set to open at the Blockbuster Cinemas and other top movie theatres, as well as a World TV Premiere.
In a short career span, Sabi has already done 12 tele-films and four TV plays already, and has also worked in another Impress Telefilm full-length feature project “Ghashfuul”, directed by Akram Khan.
