Private collector's exhibition begins at Bengal Lounge

The Bengal Art Lounge in Gulshan has taken the initiative with a new series of exhibitions of private collections titled “Ways of Seeing”. The gallery will commence the series with a selection of works from the collection of Durjoy Rahman Joy, managing director of Winners Creations Ltd and owner of a private gallery, Gallery Winners.
The exhibition inaugurates today. Editor of Prothom Alo and noted art collector Matiur Rahman will be present as chief guest. Celebrated artist Rafiqun Nabi will attend as special guest. Professor Nazrul Islam, former chairman of University Grants Commission and Ruby Islam (widow of Aminul Islam) will also be present at the inauguration.  
The focus of the exhibition will be on eminent painters from Bangladesh as well as a selection of portraits. The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of late artist Aminul Islam, several of whose early works will be on display at the exhibition. Many of the works showcased will be displayed publicly for the first time.
