Noborupi, a renowned cultural institution of Dinajpur, celebrated its 50th anniversary with cultural programmes and a discussion.
Marking its golden jubilee, a weeklong festival was organised from April 2 at Dinajpur institute complex.
Liaquat Ali Lucky, DG of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, inaugurated the festival by lighting a candle at the Noborupi complex.
Later, a rally was brought out in Dinajpur town.
The cultural festival also featured an art competition, cultural programmes, staging of plays, recitation and dances by students of the organisation.
On the concluding day, a discussion was held, chaired by Noborupi president Md. Abdus Samad.
At the discussion, speakers recalled their struggle in running the organisation over the last five decades.
After the discussion, prizes were distributed among the winners of the competitions. A book was also launched at the programme.
The weeklong event wrapped up with a vibrant cultural programme.
