The third episode of the Rupchanda-Star Lifestyle Super Chef airs tonight at 9pm on ntv. This week, the Super Chef team makes its way to the river town of Barisal. The past audition rounds, in Sylhet and Khulna, managed to generate quite a buzz and thus a huge turnout was always expected for the Barisal round.
Shawkat Osman, renowned author and food columnist of Star Lifestyle, and Kanishka Chakraborty, another food columnist of the supplement, along with Rahima Sultana Kazal, Executive Director, AVAS; Jahan Ara Begum, Professor of Government BM College; Shukla Rani Halder, Associate Professor of the college; and Sonia Al-Aqsa, a cultural activist, will be judging the rounds held at Barisal Club.
Around 250 participants will be gauged on their culinary skills, knowledge and overall presentation to find Bangladesh's first ever Super Chef. An MCQ session will be followed by the food tasting, where the judges will individually taste every dish served and mark the participants on their entries. Afterwards, another elaborate written test will be held and all the marks tallied. The highest scoring participants will then enter the Super Chef arena where their innovation and skills will be tested.
The judges have all been looking forward to this round, having unearthed quite a few gems in the previous two episodes.
