Dutch businesses keen to invest more in Bangladesh
Dutch investors are keen on investing more in Bangladesh and eager to further extend their partnership with the country, said a foreign ministry press release yesterday.
More than 50 Dutch investors in information technology, logistics, waste management, water management and business consultancy, at a seminar in The Hague, expressed enthusiasm for more investment.
The Bangladesh embassy in The Hague in collaboration with Nyenrode University of the Netherlands hosted the seminar titled “Bangladesh: Opportunities and Best Practices” on Thursday.
Dutch investors were unanimous in their appreciation for the entrepreneurial spirit and high level of enthusiasm and commitment they witnessed in the people of Bangladesh, it added.
According to them, Bangladesh is slowly but surely emerging as the gateway to South Asia given its geostrategic location with both China and India on either side of the border.
Prof Desiree, associate dean of Degree Programmes, Nyenrode University, reaffirmed the same sentiments highlighting the enormous potential of Bangladesh.
Vicenta Ariza, representative of Maruboshi Europe BV in Bangladesh, said his shippers in Bangladesh never failed to deliver even in strikes and hartals.
Bangladesh Ambassador to the Netherlands Sheikh Mohammed Belal and proprietor of Budgetview and Impel IT Solutions Peter Van Bergen, among others, spoke.
