Admission seekers went on a hunger strike at the Central Shaheed Minar premises in Dhaka demanding withdrawal of the new rules that bars candidates a second try at Dhaka University’s entrance tests.
Before beginning the hunger strike around 3:30pm, they submitted a memorandum containing their demands to the president, also chancellor of the university.
The press secretary of the Bangabhaban received their memorandum around 10:30am.
