Deceased Bangladeshi's body arrives today
The body of Rubel Ahmed, who died at a detention centre in the UK, will reach Sylhet today in a Biman Bangladesh flight.
The body will then be taken to his house in Sangirai village where the second namaz-e-janaza will be held, said Enamul Haque, the deceased's cousin.
The UK authorities handed over Rubel's body to his relatives there on Friday. The first namaz-e-janaza was held at East London Mosque, said Enamul.
Rubel, son of Abdul Jalil, died at Morton Hall Immigration Detention Centre in Linconshire on September 6.
Rubel has been living in the UK since 2009. Rubel was held by the law enforcement agency on July 22 from a restaurant in the Kent city of UK. Since then he had been in the detention centre.
Enamul said Rubel spoke to his mother over the phone on September 2 and said that he was trying to come home.
The reason behind Rubel's death has not yet been unearthed.
