Crude bombs hurled at Tariqul, four other BNP leaders' houses
Criminals hurled crude bombs at the houses of BNP standing committee member and former minister Tariqul Islam and four other Jessore BNP leaders in the district town early yesterday.
District BNP sources said crude mobs were hurled at the houses of Tariqul Islam, district unit General Secretary Syed Saberul Haque Sabu, Vice-President Golam Reza Dulu, Organising Secretary Delwar Hossain Khokon and Joint Secretary Mizanur Rahman Khan.
Delwar Hossain Khokon said unidentified criminal threw bomb at the house of Tariqul Islam at around 1:00am. After half an hour, they hurled bombs at the house of four other district BNP leaders.
The BNP leaders were at their houses during the bomb attacks, sources said, adding that windows of the houses were badly damaged.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) Enamul Haque of Kotwali Police Station said none of the five BNP leaders lodged complaints with the police station. Police are investigation the matter, The OC added.
