CPD fellow Rahmatullah passes away
Dr Mohammad Rahmatullah, a senior fellow at Centre for Policy Dialogue (CPD), passed away at United Hospital in the capital this morning at the age of 74.
Rahmatullah, who had been suffering from pancreatic cancer, breathed his last at the hospital at 9:05am.
The former planning commission member and director of UN-ESCAP Bangkok worked extensively on the Asian highway and connectivity between Saarc countries to promote regional economic growth.
Rahmatullah, a highly respected member of the community, led the Gulshan Park development initiatives, establishing it as a cornerstone for the Gulshan community.
He is survived by his wife, Qudsia Rahmatullah, his three daughters, three sons-in-law and five grandchildren.
His namaz-e-janaza will be held at Gulshan Azad Mosque after Asr prayers.
