Couple’s hanging bodies found in Natore
The bodies of a couple were found hanging from the ceiling fan of their bedroom in Singra upazila of Natore this morning.
The deceased are Ashraful Islam, 30, and his wife Fazila Begum, 23, of Akhpara Serkul village in the upazila, report our Natore correspondent.
Nazrul Islam, officer-in-charge (investigation) of Singra Police Station, said the couple’s seven-year-old son Abdul Motin went to sleep with his grandfather last night.
In the morning, Motin knocked at the door of his parents’ bedroom but nobody responded from inside.
Local people entered the room by breaking open its door and found the bodies of Ashraful and his wife hanging from ceiling fan with a piece of rope, the OC said.
Informed by villagers, police recovered the bodies around 9:30am and sent those to Natore Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy, he added.
Asharaful, an expatriate worker from Oman, came home two months back and was taking preparation to go back to the work, the OC said.
“Whether the couple committed suicide or was killed would be clear after getting the autopsy report,” the OC told our correspondent.
Police filed a case in this connection.
