Vessel with wheat supplies capsize in Kutubdia
A vessel that was unloading wheat supplies sank at the sea near Cox’s Bazar’s Kutubdia today.
The lighterage vessel sank around 7:00am with 300 tonnes of wheat, our local correspondent reports quoting Bajlur Rahman, sub-inspector of Kutubdia Police Station.
Twelve sailors were aboard, all of whom were rescued alive by fishermen. The vessel sank due to a leak at its bottom, the SI said.
