A domestic flight of US-Bangla Airlines today made an emergency landing at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka due to technical glitch.
The aircraft had 71 passengers including the cabin crew and pilots, Wing Commander Ziaul Kabir, director, flight safety and regulations, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh, told The Daily Star.
He also said the aircraft took off from HSIA at around 9:30am for Jessore. While in midair, the pilot noticed problems with balance in its propeller and returned to HSIA for an emergency landing, the official said.
All the passengers were later sent to Jessore by another standby aircraft, said Md Kamrul Islam, deputy general manager of marketing support and public relations.
After fixing the glitch, the Dash-8 airliner flew to Sylhet carrying the passengers, said the official.
