2 journos hurt in Cox’s Bazar road accident
Three people, including two journalists of private TV channel Jamuna Television, were seriously injured when a truck rammed into a car carrying them on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway in Chakaria upazila of Cox’s Bazar district today.
The injured are reporter Hossain Jiad, 30, and cameraperson Nasirul Alam at Jamuna Television of Chittagong Bureau office, and car driver Mintu Miah, 42, reports our Chittagong correspondent.
The accident took place in Harbang Mazar area around 6:30am when a team of Jamuna TV from Chittagong office was going to visit Rohingya camps, said Bakhtiar Chowdhury, officer-in-charge of Chakaria Police Station.
They were first taken to Chakaria Upazila Health Complex and later shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital as their condition deteriorated, added the OC.
