Traffic movement on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogra to be shut for 14hrs
Vehicular movement on Dhaka-Rangpur highway in Bogra will remain suspended for 14 hours due to repair work on a bridge in Mahasthangarh.
The traffic movement will be suspended from 8:00pm tonight and will continue till 10:00am tomorrow as a damaged bridge in Mahasthangarh will be repaired, according to a notice of Roads and Highways Department.
Emergency service and small vehicles were advised to use the alternative route -- Mahasthangarh Bazaar- Shibganj-Amtoli-Mokamtola road, Abu Naser, senior information officer of the Ministry of Road Transport and Bridges, told The Daily Star.
Road communication with nine districts in North Bengal region is likely to be disrupted due to the repair work, said Md Arifuzzaman, executive engineer of Roads and Highways Department, adding that the department regrets for the inconvenience.
