Three return home from Indian jail
Three Bangladeshi nationals returned home on Sunday night after serving two years in an Indian jail.
Indian police handed them over to Benapole immigration police at around 8:00pm.
Aslam Hossain, officer-in-charge of Benapole check post immigration police, said a gang of human traffickers sent them to India two and a half years ago through Jessore border.
The returnees, two women and a nine-year-old girl, hail from Khulna and Maherpur districts.
Kolkata police arrested them from rail station area and filed a case against them. Later, a court sentenced them two year imprisonment for crossing the border without valid documents.
Benapole Police handed over the trio to their families.
