Sylhet Engineering College students confine registrar
Students of Sylhet Engineering College today confined its registrar, teachers and staff inside the administrative building demanding fulfillment of their 12-point demand.
After confining the registrar, teachers and staff, the agitating students began a sit-it programme in front of the building at 11:00am, our Sylhet correspondent reports from the spot.
The agitation is continuing till 5:00pm when the report was filed.
Their demands include solution to accommodation, transportation and food problems, ensuring student security and halting corruption allegedly by the administration of the college.
“The college authority are taking transport fees from us but did not provide any,” the students claimed adding that the college sees no development though every student pays development fees.
They also alleged that the administration is involved with different types of irregularities and corruptions.
