SC releases its full order on Quasem
The Supreme Court today released the full text of its order that dismissed review petition of war criminal Mir Quasem Ali, paving way for the government to proceed with his execution.

The 29-page verdict was released after its five judges including Chief Justice Surendra Kumar Sinha signed it, Sabbir Faiz, deputy registrar of the High Court division of Supreme Court, told The Daily Star.

Earlier in the morning, the apex court dismissed the review petition and reaffirmed the death sentence of the Jamaat-e-Islami leader.
Later, the judgment was sent to the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) around 6:00pm.
The tribunal then sent the copies of the verdict to the jail authorities and the district magistrate in Dhaka around 7:00pm for necessary action,” said Shahidul Alam Jhinuk, registrar of ICT, told The Daily Star.
The copies have also been sent to the home ministry and the law ministry for information, he said.
Jahangir Kabir, senior jail super of Dhaka Central Jail, told The Daily Star that he received the copy of the verdict around 9:00pm.
The copy will be send to Kashimpur Jail-2 authorities where the convicted war criminal has been kept.
