No politicians, businessmen in court functions: SC
The Supreme Court today asked lower court judges not to invite politicians and businessmen at the court programmes during court hours.
The apex court issued a circular for all the lower courts, saying “it is being noticed that different functions are organised at the court premises during judicial activities”.
“Different professionals including politicians and businessmen were invited to the functions including inaugurations of the buildings for the courts of chief judicial magistrates recently,” it said.
The circular signed by Abu Syed Diljar Hossain, registrar of the High Court Division of the SC, said that those persons were made chief guest or special guest at the functions.
In this situation, all the people concerned of the lower courts have been directed not to hold any programme during the court period and not to invite politicians or businessmen or any other professionals outside the courts to any programme.
