Law Minister Anisul Huq today said the law for constitution of the Election Commission should not be formulated hurriedly as such a law has a far-reaching impact.
The law should be formulated after well scrutiny and detailed assessment on relevant issues, he said, adding, “For this reason I’m waiting for the president’s instruction in this regard.”

‘ICT needn’t be relocated’
Replying to a question, the minister said there is no confrontation between the judiciary and the executive over the relocation of the International Crimes Tribunal (ICT) from Old High Court building at the Supreme Court premises.
“We have received two letters from the chief justice’s office about relocation of the ICT. Requests have been made to review the decision of relocation. Discussion is going on to this effect and I hope that there is no need to relocate the tribunal,” Anisul added.
