No graft suspect to be spared: ACC chief
Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Iqbal Mahmood today categorically said no one will be spared if specific graft allegation is found against him or her.
"Nobody is above the law in the country...the commission will launch probe into specific allegations it receives, and legal actions will be taken against the graft suspects on completion of investigation, no matter whoever they are. No one will be spared," he told reporters after a meeting at Mithapukur upazila of Rangpur.
Calling upon all to show respect to the law, he said the ACC will not harass any innocent person in the name of probe into graft allegations.
The national anti-graft agency arranged the meeting at Shathibari Multilateral High School ground to distribute education materials inscribed with anti-corruption slogans among students aiming to encourage them to practice honesty in their personal life and say no to corruption.
Speaking at the meeting, the ACC chief said the next generation will determine how the country will go forward and that's why they must be made truly educated to ensure their safe future.
Noting that the country's future depends on teachers and students, he urged teachers to build their students as truly educated ones so that they can take the lead in the future.
