Natore freshwater croc released in Padma
Believed to be an extinct species in the country, the freshwater crocodile caught in Natore yesterday has been released in the Padma river hours after capture.
It was released around 4:00pm yesterday, our Natore correspondent reports quoting Abul Kalam, divisional forest officer, Rajshahi.
According to the locals and police, fisherman Fazer Ali in Lalpur caught the 5-foot-long crocodile when they were fishing with nets in the river around 10:00am yesterday.

They recovered the animal and informed the local administration about the matter.
Then, it was released in the river.
