Mistakes in textbooks: 2 NCTB officials made OSD
Two officials of National Curriculum and Textbook Board have been made officer on special duty (OSD) after embarrassing mistakes were found in textbooks distributed on the first day of this year.
The OSD officials are: Pritish Kumar Sarkar, chief editor of NCTB, and Lana Humayra Khan, senior expert of the board, according to an official handout issued by the education ministry today.
The decision was taken based on the preliminary investigation report, the handout also read.

3-member probe body formed
Besides, the secondary and higher secondary divisions of the education ministry today formed a three-member probe body to find out the people who were responsible for the mistakes in the textbooks.
Ruhi Rahman, additional secretary of the division, was made convener of the committee while the joint secretary of the division and the director of the secondary and higher secondary division were made members of the facts finding body.
