Police detained one Alim Uddin, 40, for allegedly vandalising idols of Hindu Gods Kartik and Ganesha at Durgabari of Sajapur village in Kashkanakpur union, reports our correspondent quoting Mohammad Mobassherul Islam, upazila nirbahi officer of Jakiganj.
However, Mobassherul Islam told The Daily Star that Alim is a mentally disabled person and accidentally fell on the idols at the temple.
