Girls fare better than boys in HSC
Female students did better than their male counterparts in this year’s Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and its equivalent examination results.
The pass rate of female students is 1.67 percent more than the male examinees in all 10 educational boards.
A total of 73.93 percent male students and 75.60 percent female students passed the HSC and equivalent examinations this year.
However in terms of GPA-5, female students lagged behind the male students. A total of 32, 381 male students secured GPA-5, whilst 25, 895 female students secured GPA-5.
A total of 12,03,640 students--5,57,842 females and 6,45,798 males—took part in the examinations.
