Diagnostic centre, 3 clinics sealed
A diagnostic centre was sealed off for operating illegally in Dinajpur while three private clinics were shut down for violating code of conduct, mismanagement and unhygienic environment in Naogaon.
Acting on a tip-off, a mobile court, led by Executive Magistrate Md Shajebur Rahman, raided Prime Diagnostic Centre in Pakershat area under Khansama upazila around 12:30pm yesterday and asked the authorities to show their papers.
As the manager failed to show any valid papers, the court sealed off the centre.
Meanwhile, Naogaon district Civil Surgeon Dr AKM Mozahar Hossain on Monday shut down three private clinics in Patnitola and Mohadevpur upazilas for various irregularities, mismanagement and unhygienic environment.
The clinics are Islamia Clinic and Diagnostic Centre, Meser Ali Homeopathy Hall in Patnitola upazila and an orthopaedic treatment centre in Mohavepur, said the civil surgeon.
During a drive, Islamia Clinic and Diagnostic Centre and Meser Ali Homeopathy Hall were found in unhygienic condition.
In another drive, the civil surgeon closed the orthopaedic treatment centre as the lone doctor has no academic knowledge to treat patients.
