Bangladesh peacekeeper killed in Africa
A Bangladeshi peacekeeper has been killed while on duty in a clash with local criminals in Central African Republic (CAR).
The deceased was identified as Abdur Rahim, 29, a soldier of Bangladesh Army, according to a press release issued by the Inter-Services Public Relation Directorate (ISPR) today.
Rahim, son of Md Abdul Majed of Hajipur village in Shatkhira, left behind his wife and a five-month old son to mourn his death, the release said.
He was a soldier of contingent-20 BIR, Bangladesh Battalion (BANBAT)-3 under United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilisation Mission in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), ISPR said
