Biman Bangladesh Airlines has won the prestigious "Foreign Airline of the year-2015" from Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in Malaysia.
This award is given by the KLIA Management, based on highest passenger carried between Kuala Lumpur and South Asia sectors, according to a Biman release issued this evening.
Mohammed Salahuddin, Biman’s country manager to Malaysia received the award recently from the Malaysian Transport Minister YB Dato' Seri Liow Tiong Lai at a grand ceremony.
One of the busiest airports in the world, KLIA handled 4, 89, 38, 424 passengers and 3, 54, 519 flights in 2015.
Earlier Biman earned this rare feat "Foreign airline of the year" award from KLIA also in 2011 and 2014.
