Arrest killers of college boy Jibon
Speakers at a human chain in Dashmina upazila yesterday demanded immediate arrest of the killers of a college boy.
The deceased was Jibon Chandra Bepari, 16, a twelfth grader of Ulania Hat School and College, and son of Jiten Bepari of Betagisankipura village in the upazila. He was killed by a gang on October 29.
People from all walks of life, including the victim's classmates and family members, took part in the human chain in front of the college.
Kamol Chandra Majhee, brother-in-law of the boy, said Jibon was the only son of his parents. He had a relationship with a girl, an SSC examinee, of Goshinga village in Baufal upazila.
On October 29, Jibon went to meet the girl. A gang, allegedly led by the girl's uncle Bimol Mondol, beat Jibon mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot.
Later, a murder case was filed with Baufal Police Station.
