4,000 Yaba found in passenger’s abdomen at Dhaka airport
Customs Intelligence today detained a passenger carrying 4,000 pieces of Yaba tablets inside his abdomen at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka.
Imam Hossain, 30, hailing from Teknaf in Cox’s Bazar was held after he landed at the domestic terminal of the airport, Mohammad Zakaria, assistant director of Customs Intelligence told The Daily Star.
Hossain claimed it was his first attempt to carry the 40 packets containing 100 Yaba tablets on his way to Dhaka from Cox’s Bazar, , Zakaria told as Hossain said.
Hossain was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) for recovering the contraband pills from his body.
Quoting doctors, Zakaria said surgery, if needed, will be done for bringing out the tablets from Hossain’s body.
