33 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims dead in KSA
A total of 33 Bangladeshi hajj pilgrims died between August 7 and September 8 – because of various reasons including old age complications – in Saudi Arabia this year.
Of them, 24 pilgrims were male and nine female, according to an announcement at the bulletin of Ministry of Religious Affairs’ hajj management department today.
The bulletin says 24 hajjis died in Makkah, eight in Madinah and one in Jeddah while 17 other pilgrims are currently hospitalised in Saudi Arabia.
A total of 1,01,797 pilgrims have reached Saudi Arabia from Bangladesh to perform the holy ritual which is scheduled to be held on September 11.
Of them, 95,614 have reached under 483 private hajj management and 5,183 under government management.
