31kgs gold recovered from Dhaka-Kolkata buses
Detectives from Indian Customs recovered gold weighing 31 kilogrammes from two buses of Dhaka-Kolkata-Dhaka route last evening.
The officials have detained two drivers and a supervisor of the two buses of Souhardo and Shyamoli paribahan belonging to Bhutal Paribahan Nigam under West Bengal government, our Kolkata correspondent reports quoting, Oboni Ghosh, chief operator of Bhutal Paribahan.
Based on information, detectives searched the two buses when those reached at the Karunamoyee International Bus Terminus in Kolkata and recovered gold biscuits and jwellery from underneath the seats, according to a press release from Bidhannagar Police Commissionerate.
The price of the gold was estimated at Rs 9.5 crore, the preass release said.
