3 killed as villagers clash in Sunamganj
At least three people were killed in a clash between two groups of villagers over a water body in Dirai upazila of Sunamganj today.
The victims were identified as Tajul Islam, 35, Shaharul Islam, 25, and Ujjal, 28, reports our Sylhet correspondent.
The clash ensued when one Ekrar Hossain and his fellow men with sharp weapons tried to take control over the water body owned by Masud Miah and Dhananjae Sarkar in Jarulia village around 1:00pm, said Abdul Jalil, officer-in-charge of Dirai Police Station.
At least three people were killed in the clash, the police official said.
