2 JMB men jailed for 20 years
A court here yesterday sentenced two members of banned militant outfit Jama'atul Mujahideen Bangladesh (JMB) to 20 years' rigorous imprisonment in a case filed in 2015.
The arrestees are Rasel Hossain alias Tamim, 25, son of Younus Ali of Radhakanai village in Fulbari upazila of Mymensingh, and Mofazzal Hossain, 33, son of Ismail Hossain alias Abdus Sattar of Gurbari Clawkbistapur village in Atrai upazila of Naogaon.
Natore District and Sessions Judge Rezaul Karim also fined them Tk 20,000 each.
According to the prosecution, Rapid Action Battalion arrested the two with firearms, bullets and books on jihad on July 14, 2015.
