Country’s biggest public exam PSC begins
Primary School Certificate (PSC) and its madrasa equivalent Ebtedayee terminal tests began today with nearly 31 lakh fifth graders expected to appear for the examinations.
With a total of 27,88,544 school and 3,05,721 madrasa students registering for the tests, it is the country’s largest public examination according to education officials.
Today, class V students sat for English exam that began simultaneously across 6,791 centres throughout the country at 11:00am and 11 other venues overseas.
Primary and Mass Education Minister Mostafizur Rahman visited an examination venue at Viqarunnisa Noon School and College in the Dhaka’s Siddheswari this morning.
Talking to reporters, the minister urged all political parties to refrain from enforcing agaitation programmes during these examinations for the sake of the students.
The class V terminal tests will end on November 30.
