Getaway To The Coast

As stress and strain overwhelm life in the urban regions, people look for the chance to blow off some steam once in a while. Most go on holidays, with Cox's Bazar and St Martin's Island being popular destinations. Cox's Bazar, with the longest natural sea beach in the world, has holidaymakers taking full advantage of its vastness during the peak season. Even so, Laboni beach and Inani beach are also hot favourites.

Most people prefer Cox's Bazar because of its natural beauty, the convenience in travelling there, its affordability and arrangements for families to make the occasion a festive affair. The beach on St Martin's Island is, however, quite something else. It is the only coral island in Bangladesh and reaching the island is no easy job. But people do ignore such impediments; and once there they are treated to nature's finest…white sand under their feet and a blue ocean as far as the eye can see.
