War crimes court orders treatment of sick suspect in jail
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 yesterday sent a sick war crimes suspect to jail, directing the jail authorities to provide him with medical treatment immediately, if necessary.
Police yesterday produced Moulavi Samsuddoha, who was arrested on Sunday in Cox's Bazar, before the tribunal, but Samsuddoha, aged around 100 years, fell sick.
The tribunal also directed the jail authorities to submit a report on Samsuddoha's health by June 2 and produce him before it on July 22, the next date fixed for the case.
Samsuddoha is among 19 people of Maheshkhali upazila in Cox's Bazar linked to crimes committed against humanity during the Liberation War.
