Two sacked Grameen Bank staff jailed over graft
A Barisal court sentenced two sacked staff of Grameen Bank to 10 years' imprisonments in a case for misappropriating Tk 17.25 lakh from savings of nine of its clients in 2011.
Delwar Hossain, former manager of Raipasha-Karapur branch in Barisal, and Shah Alam, officer of the same branch, are on the run.
The court also fined Tk 25 lakh each, in default, to serve six more months in jail.
