Two AL men sued for attacking rail officers
Two ruling Awami League leaders, among 12 persons, have been sued allegedly for attacking railway officials in Rangpur three days ago.
Sheikh Abdul Zabbar, station super of Rangpur Railway Station, filed the case with Lalmonirhat Railway Police Station on Sunday, accusing Tushar Kanti Mondal, general secretary of Rangpur city AL, and Nasim Ahmed, secretary of ward no-27 unit of AL, and 10 others.
The incident of filing the case came to light on Tuesday night when police started investigation.
Officer-in-Charge AZM Moniruzzaman said they are trying to arrest the accused.
On Saturday, Tushar along with around 12 people allegedly assaulted Mihir Kumar Guha, a manager of Bangladesh Railway (West Zone), and other officials during a meeting at Rangpur Railway Station as he refused to meet Tushar's demand for operation of one more intercity train on Rangpur-Dhaka route.
