Take Muktamoni abroad if necessary
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday directed the doctors to take 12-year-old Muktamoni, who is now undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital with an unknown disease, abroad for treatment if necessary.
Dr Samanta Lal Sen, a member of the medical board constituted for her treatment, said the premier asked the doctors to treat the girl with utmost importance when he met her at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) yesterday noon.
Dr Sen, also national coordinator at National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of DMCH, said Muktamoni's medical reports have been sent to Singapore General Hospital and the doctors here are awaiting a reply. Muktamoni, from Satkhira, has been afflicted by an unknown disease mainly in her right hand. The condition led her hand to swell up like a bee hive. She was admitted on July 11 at DMCH.
